Our company was founded on the belief that premium office furniture still in great condition should not be thrown away when a company moves offices. By sourcing our furniture from companies in the Chicagoland area who are transitioning offices, we are able to divert over 300 tons of material from landfills every year. This allows our customers to not only save big on high quality furniture from top brands, but also make a positive impact on our environment.

In addition to our business model, our showroom has been outfitted with LEED lighting which is low-energy and helps cut the monthly power draw of OFC. Every workstation in our management office is equipped with a smart power strip that prevents energy usage while employees are away. We are partners with the Chicago Furniture Bank who share space with us in our showroom. The Chicago Furniture Bank takes donations of used residential furniture and resells it to lower income families in the Chicago area. Office Furniture Center is also a proud member of the Illinois Green Alliance, which is a membership driven, non-profit that works to promote green buildings and sustainable communities.
